Parts of a flower

Flowers come in many different shapes , sizes and colours However , most have the same structure. Most flowers have male parts, called stamens , and female parts, called carpels. The stamens produce fine , dustlike grains  , called pollen ,  and carpels produce ovules. The male and female parts are surrounded by petals of the flower.   In many flowers , it is the job of the petals
to attract insects , so that pollen can be transferred to other flowers. This process is called pollination. The pollen then joins together with , or fertilizes , the ovules , and produce seeds.

As well as plants , many kinds of algae , protists and bacteria use it to get food. Photosynthesis is very important for life on earth. Most plants eithr directly or indirectly depend on it. The exeption are certain organisms that directly get their energy from chemical reactions , these organisms are called chemoautotrophs.
